Twilight Sunset Bangkok Bike Tour

Tour Overview

Sunsets in Bangkok can be breathtakingly beautiful and even more so when viewed from an equally magical vantage point.

The Twilight Sunset ride is a late afternoon half-day Bangkok bike tour that will take you along some of the hidden alleyways of Bangkok, through secret communities and hidden temples ending at the highest temple in Bangkok to view the sunset over the City of Angels.

See Bangkok in its homeward drive from safe and carefully planned routes where each turn will leave you in amazement and wonder as we carefully cycle through new and old parts of the city to learn about its colourful history, partake in cultural practices and sample some of the famous tasty snacks on offer.

Just before sunset, we'll climb to the top of the Golden Mountain to see the last rays of sunlight light up the western bank of the Chao Phraya river with the sky changing slowly from pale yellow to bright orange as the sun quietly slips behind the horizon.

Detailed Itinerary

We meet at 3:00 PM at Just Nok New Office, for a quick bike fitting and safety briefing before heading out for the late afternoon ride.

We start with a leisurely ride next to the Royal Plowing field commonly referred to as Sanam Luang, as we slowly make our way to the Chao Phraya river. Along the way we'll pass the two most famous temples in all of Thailand – The Temple of the Emerald Buddha and The Temple of the Reclining Buddha.

We'll cross the mighty Chao Phraya river over the Memorial bridge as we make our way to Wat Prayun. This temple is special as it received the UNESCO Cultural Heritage Conservation Award of Excellence in 2013. Your guide will elaborate further on this once you are there and take you into the main chedi to see the amazing construction which was implemented to prevent this historical structure from collapsing.

After Wat Prayun, we again cross the Chao Phraya river – this time using the Sky Garden. After a short stop here we'll continue along the picturesque alley next to the 2nd canal. Here we'll stop for a short snack break.

A short ride further will take us through some interesting hidden alleyways before reaching the Golden Mountain temple. We'll spend some time at this temple to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the surroundings as well as view the sunset.

From here we slowly make our way back to Just Nok office, where we should arrive with plenty of time for you to still enjoy the nightlife of Bangkok.
